The Sneaky Bastards are back in full swing after several months off, playing 4 big shows in August including a return to Steamboat Springs on August 26. Look for more shows to be added for the fall and a recording session to happen soon.
Speaking of the Sneaky Bastards, the band was very honored to open for the legendary Johnny Winter at the Oriental Theater in Denver on March 30. You can check out the Sneaky Bastards set here.
2011 has got off to a great start with several weekends of BIG shows. First off, Brut Springsteen & the B Street Band did two encore performances in the Colorado ski towns of Vail and Steamboat Springs on February 18 and 19. This was supposed to be a one off show, but we dialed it up again and had an absolute blast with it. The moral of the story...never say never. We can't say if this will happen again, but you never know. Thanks to the B Street Band for their incredible effort and spirit, Eric Martinez, Adam Kilgus, Paul "Dr. Poz" Cohen, Nathan Peoples, Tori Pater, Tom Piercy and Anna Broach. You can hear the audio of the vail show here. You can also read a piece in the Steamboat Pilot on the show here.
The Sneaky Bastards and Betsy Franck & the Bareknuckle Band from Athens, GA played an epic two night stand January 21 and 22 at the Old Town Pub in Steamboat Springs, CO. These shows were marked by great collaboration between the bands, including the Bareknuckle Band's guitarist Greg Kearney sitting in with the Bastards for searing versions of J.J. Cale's "Thirteen Days" and the Allman Brothers Band's "Ain't Wasting Time No More", and most of the Sneaky Bastards sitting in with the Bareknuckle Band for versions of Bill Withers "Use Me" and Neil Young's "Cortez The Killer." We definitely hope to do this again sometime soon. You can hear the Sneaky Bastards set from the second show here.
Mark ended 2010 with two shows at the Mt. Tabor Theatre Lounge with special guests the Motherless Cowboys from Salt Lake City, UT. Mark also got to see long time influence RICHMOND FONTAINE finally!

You can also download an mp3 of this song if you are a registered member. The
song received some excellent praise from some reviewers:
"...this is a real solid song, well crafted good
musician ship, good well measured solos, great vocals and lyrics, good and
catchy chorus which is key and a good outro. This is the best and most polished
song I've ever heard here."
"...there is a lot of soul in the
chorus of this song..."
"...a very honest voice..."
"...the instruments are played well,
the drum sound is great, and then Neil young beats up the singer from REM.
I love it. Sounds perfect. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. I almost quit reviewing
because I thought the world was filled with idiots. You have proven me wrong.
I LOVE IT."
